News > Median Price up 13.6% for Tempe Condos in the First Quarter

published on 2016-04-06

The first quarter of 2016 was a big one for Tempe condo sellers.  The median price for sold units increased 13.6%.  Volume increased about 12% too, showing strong demand for both newer condos and older townhome styles too.

The biggest contributor to the sales (and the most popular condo development in Tempe for our buyers) was Villagio near downtown Tempe - 21 units changed hands in this community in the first quarter.   Park Premier South townhomes south of the 60 were popular too.  These older townhomes are reasonably priced in the $130's and $140's with many having 3 and 4 bedrooms.   There are no condos currently for sale in this community after the first quarter run.

Mesa condo sales increased too, with the median price rising 10.8% to $133,000.  Chandler condo sales were flat with a slight decrease in median price, but we're expecting an increase as some of the new condos here are completed.
